What Are Some Basic Manners Every Student Must Learn?

If there is one thing which everyone should be learning as soon as they got the conscious is manners. Children and students need to behave from a very young age. Just like they say:

Good manners and kindness are always in fashion.

But it is not a piece of cake to tell and teach them how to behave. Children are great observer which means everything that happened around them they are going to imitate that whether it is lying, cheating or even yelling. Same is the case if you are being nice, caring and kind-they will also learn that.

Fundamental manner every child should know:

The thing about manners is that you just can't pick a child one, mix all manners in a glass of water and let him or her. We all wish this could have been this easy, but it actually isn't.

The best way to teach your student or child some basic manners is giving them bit by bit. They will learn slowly but eventually. Being a teacher, you have to show them to learn just like teachers at American schools do. They are educating those young souls by giving them information and then showing them how to do.

Following are some of the essential manners every child should know since an early age:

Saying thank you:

When you are teaching the children, then start with a general greeting. Learning to say thank you is one of the most important and humbling things.

Start with telling them to appreciate any help from others, and if some give them a favor, then they should say thank you in return.

Adding "please" in front of a question:

This is another etiquette these students need to master from an early age. Saying please makes the whole question and request. For example, if they need help then they would say, "please help me", "please pass me this book", and "please May I have this pencil."

This manner makes them understand the value of asking someone for help.

Table manners:

When students are learning manners, then teachers should also teach them some basic table manners. This might include things like how to hold a spoon or not to talk on the table.

Washing hands before eating and not making sounds while eating are some basic table manners children should understand at an early age.

Not interrupting someone:

If someone is talking then interrupting them in the middle is straightaway rude! Children should learn regarding how to let someone complete their thought and listen with the patient.

It is essential that children having listening skills and teachers at an international school such as American primary schools in Dubai can play their role in instilling that information.

It is essential to let children know that if someone interrupts them, then they should be able to say, please let me complete first in a polite way.

Final thoughts:

When children are at their young age, then anything that is being taught will stay with them for a lifetime. For this reason, you need to teach them some basic manners whether it is at home or during their classes.
